I think you were wise to use the fairytale genre to convey your plot. The title of the comic was typical of the genre and helped the viewer establish the genre of the comic. The genre was also very useful in identifying the Proppian characters we were expected to use. This enabled you to use visual representations (for example the devil horns and crown) to characterize the characters which worked effectively in your comic. You also used the theory of Todorov well in conveying your plot. There was a disruption and action which kept me reading. The overall layout and use of different types of shots were very effectively. Well done guys, I really enjoyed your comic.
It is awesome how you managed to 'not so subtlely' incorporate the fairy tale genre into your depiction of a hellish night out as a University first year. You added a fresh, contempory twist to what has been a much loved genre for many years now.
The villian was portrayed well in terms of the circumstances that may arise in anyone's life during university life nowadays. From a theoretical standpoint, I do not believe that Todorov's understanding of what became an “disequilibrium” returned to a healthy equilibrium by the end of the comic, making it unfinished, or perhaps even begging for a follow up or conclusion.
Thank you for an interesting read and an appreciated comic portrayal of a situation that any young first year lady might find themselves in.
Peace out,
Damien
Can you not be so cliche? Ok I will not lie, your comic strip is good, but the genre is over done. I like the fact that you used little props to show who the characters were which was very clever so that we could distinguish between the different characters. Its interesting to know that you are paying attention in lectures and that you new the Proppian characters and the specific functions. The narrative was coherent which was great but, your points of disruption was almost predictable which kind of threw me of a little. It was great to see that you actually listened to the tips given on camera shots(angles, etc). All in all I really enjoyed it guys, well done.

I found it an interesting approach at from a tired angle but you guys pulled it off. The plot was whimsical and engaging. I found it entertaining. It is also evident that you paid close attention to how you took your photographs as well as the spacing of the subjects. The use of Proppian character models is also quite evident. Well done guys I thoroughly enjoyed the read.
